The Roll of Honour

This Roll of Honour is dedicated to all British and Commonwealth personnel who lost their lives whilst serving
in any capacity in the Suez Canal Zone of Egypt during the 'Emergency' of 1951 - 1954 and in the year following.

  These two Marines lost their lives whilst taking part in an exercise from the Canal Zone and were victims of an aeroplane accident in Malta.  Marine Burtenshaw died in the crash and L/Cpl Don died later as the result of injuries received.
